Any of you chirpy lads of the Beer Garden able to give me a break down of the differences between these shorter boards and a conventional mal? Is there a difference between an egg and a 'mini longboard'? The reason I am leaning towards the shorter boards is due to the easier transport and less space they'd take up. Furthermore it'd be much easier transition back onto my short board. Am looking for something that would pick up the summer ankle slapper reefies on offer in Perth and the odd beach break. Something to get that similar glide and trim you get on a longboard... Actually, the more I type this the more I think I might be better off grabbing a 9 ft'er when I'm back from Bali
