1. The Wind - we are keeping a close eye on the forecast wind conditions for the race and have the ability to change the race course to suit the wind direction - we have buses and trailers to transport competitors to and from the intended start/finish locations. We'll be sending out a race briefing document to all competitors who have registered online by August 8.

2. The Dogman - is coming! and will be holding a clinic on Friday the 10th of August for interested parties.

3. Will Anido - fresh from his success paddling from Molokai to Oahu - is coming to show us how to paddle!

4. A social get together will be held at the Rye Pier Restaurant on Saturday evening August 11 - all competitors, friends, family etc welcome to come along and meet Will and the Dogman - and everyone else!

5. Bay Temp - 11.6deg - for those coming from NSW don't forget the booties!
