Well this is what I've dragged together so far to get a sail out of. First is my £1.20 Ebay purchase.... all 9m of it. I'm guessing this would need a lot of work to get it sorted out?




Just picked this up today - bit of a conundrum. Right hand side.


Left hand side...


Ta da! Both mast sleeve/pockets have been cut in half and stitched together. Also some holes in whats left of sleeve. Has some ally plates riveted to it so it wraps round the mast and then is strapped together to form one heavy sail. So it would need the pocket cutting off and a new one knocking up out of something (twice) also no battens, and a load of holes to patch... but it is a 5.5m class 5 sail.


Any thoughts on what is the best way forward and please bear in mind it'll be me learning and doing all the work by hand!!
