Took abit of an unplanned trip out to Pelican Island / Section bank this arvo to see how it would go in a NE / N wind.
Arrived on lowish tide .45m and had about a a 2 hour session as the tide came in. There is endless amounts of waist deep water which was fairly flat.
Plenty of room to launch kites on the low tide and enough space to land at high water.
I took my 12m out but probably would have been ok on the ten as the wind felt alot stronger out on bank then it did passing the wall on route to the boat ramp.
The sea floor was mainly sandy with some patches of weed and the odd razor fish bed.
As a beginner of 5 months it was th perfect location to try my first jumps. Im sure some of you will get a laugh out of the photos.
Sorry to my kiting buddys for no invite, was abit of a spare of the moment thing.
Plenty of room in the tinny for afew more blokes/kites ect next time.
Cheers
Ben
