Tyronsea 330 repair
I'm fixing up this older board, the top shell is delaminating from the bottom and the fin has been screwed in by a metal plate - bolted down lol.

I'm not sure if the board is epoxy or polyethylene etc. What I was looking at doing is removing the rusted metal plate and using polyester resin to fix the holes where the fin was screwed in to stop any water leaking into the foam, I'm not sure of the best way to fix the delaminating problem. Any one know the best way to go. Thanks

ANOTHER OLD 'WIND ACTION' BOARD SCORED. HOW OLD?

OK, this is the 4th obsolete windsurfer board I've been given in the last few weeks.

Another 'Wind Action' branded board, but nothing even remotely like the previous one. I know nothing about these boards, but this one looks much older than the other one, style, fittings, the works. Does anyone have any ideas?

Dimensions are 9' long, 22" wide, 3" thick, and it's very light compared to the other one, I'm guessing around 6-7kg at the most. It looks like it's made of fibreglass, but is it hollow? That looks like a plug in the middle of the deck to me!

The bottom is dead flat, the rocker very pronounced, and the rails are fully turned down all the way around the board. The 2 holes above and below Peter Cochran's name on the pod go right through the board into the fin box.

The non-slip coating on the deck is crumbling and scrapes off with a finger nail.

Antique windsurfing equipment- mid to late '80s
I know there's a buy/sell page, but this is a bit different - I'm not trying to sell equipment but give away antique stuff that hasn't been used for about 20 years & has been stored indoors, before it all goes to the tip (or to the nearby Revolve 2nd hand goods facility if they'll take it).

I'm aware from an article by Peter Hart in UK Windsurf of June 2008 of the huge changes in equipment & technique since the early 90s. So I'm not trying to offload this to a beginner - just a desperate attempt to see if I can avoid it all ending up on the tip.

It's a longshot but perhaps there is a collector of vintage 80s equipment out there with lots of storage space !

In brief, this is what we have:
- fibreglass 8' 9" waveboard (Performance Sailboards, W'gong)
- Mistral 'Tarifa' - 140 litres; 330 cm long, 65cm wide; 12.5 kg
- 5 full-batten sails (3.7m; 4.9m; 5.7m; 6.2m; 7.2m - Hood, Gaastra, Windsurfing Hawaii, Mistral), 2 booms, 2 x 2-piece fibreglass masts; mastfoots)
- Tyronsea 360 long board, sail & mast but no mastfoot

I also have a large collection of windsurfing magazines from the 80s that I need to rationalise at some stage (eg, lots of issues of US 'Windsurf'; 'Sail Boarder'; 'WindRider'; & 'Windsurfing'; & miscellaneous issues of UK 'Windsurf', 'Boards' & Aust. 'Freesail'). If you are interested in taking some of these mags, let me know if you'd like more information on what I have.

Wanted - new home for free waveboard
Wanted new home for my old peter cochrane shaped wind action wave board

265 cm long (minus the nose which has been repaired)
Fibreglass
About 54 cm wide
About 80-85L I think

Whats the catch?
Nothing - except you have to come and pick it up

I'd prefer to give it to someone who wants to get in the waves but might be a bit financially compromised rather than someone who has lots of kit already!

How to save an old board.

I have a "Wayler YPSI" made some bygone year before i was born, a time when the UJ was just a glint in the eye of young sailor. Instead of a mast track, it has two bizarre cylindrical sink holes, where (I assume) some antique style hinge is suppose to connect the board to the mast.

So, i'm looking for a seasoned and knowledgeable sea dog who'd be familiar with this type of board, or if they've seen anything like it. Or do i need to break out my custom-job-hat and start hacking into the mast box?

Please help, i don't want to see a good board gone to waste.

Thanks for your time, David
