spring style vs skateboard style trucks landboards
Im trying to buy a bargain landboard for kiting the beach mostly and an oval sometimes. (only got around $150). I noticed most boards have the spring assisted style trucks. Does this make them stiffer or just stronger? I want a board that i can make tight (to reduce speed wobbles). Are the cheaper boards (skateboard style trucks) capable of being as tight as the spring style ones once the spring style ones are made tight using the red egg things?? Im 79kg and a kitesurfer inexperience at landboarding. Any advice greatly appreciated. cheers. Greg

Landyacht Register
Thanks to Iand for this idea!!

The purpose of this thread is to collect a register of all landyachts & Blokarts so that people interested in the sport can see what types are available, obtain some information regarding them and see who in their vicinity owns them. Hopefully this will enable them to make an informed decision regarding what type of landyacht they should purchase or build and who they can sail with locally.

Please include a picture of your landyacht and fill out the details in this template:

Class -
Length -

If you would like to ask any questions or post any comments please do so in this link: "Questions/comments for Landyacht Register"

Speedsail board
Does any body own or know of someone with a speedsail board. I am building one at the mo and need an idea of the axle widths. the photos on the french sites are distorted and its very hard to guage the dimensions on the 2m boards.

Cheap & easy to built (Class 5) land yacht
My oldest boy Jesse wanted a blocart but I couldn't justify the price.
As both boys had out grown their trampoline, along with some old windsurfer bits and wheel barrow wheels we built 3 of these for less than $200 each. They only take a couple of days to build. Cheap, quick and easy, great for 2 wheeling and 180deg. slideouts. There are 3 short movies on Google Video : Jesses landyacht. Enjoy.
