It is quite frustrating to see fellow water user in trouble just a stone throw away in water in harsh condition and do nothing.
I did try few times to paddle on my board with my arm but in any serious conditions + +30 knots is quite difficult if even possible.
So I taught about carrying maybe a kayak paddle for harsh day condition - but never really tried this.
Ideal would be some sort of remotely operated vessel or even sort of battery operated motor ( the divers use) that we could attach to our board and tow somebody with his gear back to safety..
