Our surf went flat for 6 weeks after I got my 9'4 Creek.
I have received a lot of messages, asking how it works in different waves, so this video is an attempt to show how the Creek surfs in a range of conditions. It has some crap waves from the flat spell, mixed in with the clean sessions this week.
This week I got to ride the Creek in some waist to head high glass, in a couple of different locations, so I got a good feel for it, along with some useful video footage.
My 9'4 is a fairly big board, designed to give me a mix of stability and performance in sub freezing New England winters.. so I have been extremely stoked with how well it is performing in summer glass, when I could be riding much smaller board.
In 3 days, I rode my 9'1 Acid, 9'4 Creek and 9'2 Skate.
The Acid got the call on the best day, because it was 5' and pure glass.. and my 1st chance to ride the smaller Acid. Great call, awesome day..I was awed by the performance...but at 109 kgs, the 5 hour session, on a 126 liter board, took it's toll and the next day I needed some float!
I was afraid it would make my much bigger Creek feel like a tanker, but I was super happy with how the Creek measured up!
Kinda long video, but I wanted to cover a lot of bases.
Full disclosure:
the board has my name on it.... so yuppers, I am affiliated
