We are looking for a wing spot in March that has good connections to Perth and Tokyo. Boracay has come up, but seems to have tons of kiters on the water in a pretty limited area, and getting past the reef seems hairy. Some good promotional sites mention Mui Ne but everything seems close to a single noisy street. Some sites in Thailand with a few hours from Bangkok looked promising on first glance but much less attractive on closer look.It's easy to find pages describing how great each spot is, but personal descriptions what mention the drawbacks are hard to find. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been to wing foil spots in the area within the last couple of years. We're planning to go for 2 weeks, and will need to rent boards.
