Slingwing NXT won't switch sides when tacking - anyone else

Hey all, this might be a long shot but I'm curious if anyone has seen this.

I just got a new Slingwing NXT and I'm really struggling with tacks. The wing just doesn't want to move across to the new side of the wind window. It kind of "sticks" and won't switch over no matter what I do.

I've tried holding the back hand longer, pushing it across more aggressively, still the same thing.

When gybing I can make it switch, but only if I physically push the leading edge out to force it over.

What's weird is I never had this issue on other wings like F-One Strike or Cabrinha Mantis - those felt super natural in transitions.

So now I'm wondering if this is something specific to the Slingwing NXT, or maybe something to do with the Aluula frame being stiffer? Or maybe it's just me and I need to adjust something. Anyone else experienced this or have tips?

Are you talking about the v1 or v2? I've got the 6m NXT v2 and never had issues with tacks or gybes.

Some wings have a size that flies different. The duotone slick 5m was like that but the 4 and 6 tacked no problem I traded the 5m SLS for a D-lab and it was a bit better but I know what you are feeling.

have tried using your backand more to make it switch side?
If you look at that old video, you will see how the best riders were tacking back then. Look at Malo for the back hand.

Some wings are definitely harder than others to tack. I've come across a few that I couldn't tack. Not saying that's the issue with yours but definitely validating the weirdness factor for ya.

Yea, try aggressively pushing the boom to the outside of your turn with your back hand, later in the turn. Its awkward because your angles are leaning into the turn and you are pushing out of the turn with your hand - but it generally works. Some older wings really didn't like to tack well, but I find most of the wings I've tried in the last couple of years come around pretty naturally once you figure out their nuanceds.

Also, the harder you can point upwind before making the wing transition, the easier it is to bring that wing around.
