You would need a custom board as the supplied board is a full sinker and you would never get a start in light wind. I find the hardest thing with ultra light wind winging, think 5knots and under is the getting standing part. There just isn't enough wind to help you balance as you get up, if you put any pressure on the wing you fall backwards. But if you do manage to get standing and flying you can keep going in about 5 knots using the Axis PNG1300 and Foildrive to get flying.

You are asking about the foil, not the board.. So I think yes.. Mount it to a bigger board and keep the board flat when foiling.. Someone will probably do it one day.. I'm not sure if mounting it to a skinny DW style board would work best.. Depending on your weight and skill I'm thinking a board like my 140L Naish Hover that's 33" wide.. Stable, Floaty.. and has great board speed before lift off.. It works like those old wide Formula style windsurf boards that would plane before any other windsurf board..
