was windsurfing safety bay last saturday, heading west across the sand bar to pengo island, all of a sudden i heard a crash. at first i thought had broken a mast. when i got up after being face planted into the sand saw a kite had fallen on my sail. the kite had string tangled all over my sail and boom. looked at the two kitesurfers about 20metres up wind, neither offered any help or apology! also ripped luff on my 4.5. thanks guys no wonder people think teabags are a menace.

Allways carry a machetee in your harness pocket so you [}:)]can cut the mess loose from your gear![}:)]

A machete is probably overkill, but get a hook knife.
Available at all good kite stores (I'm pretty sure you could walk to one from Safety Bay)
If it happens again, cut the lines of the kite. It will cost the inconsiderate kiter $200-300 to replace the set of lines.
Lesson learned[}:)]

You will find that most kiters feel the same about people that do this
