hi i just brought my self a second windsurfer.. looking forward in learning a new sport..
i was told Pelican Point Nedlands was a good place to start off.. i live near the beach but i think i should learn in the river first before i start in the ocean.
any advice would be great.?
Yes flat water, and light to moderate winds first. And get some lessons will save you lot's of heartache.
Hi, I work for Windforce, we teach from Pelican Point Nedlands. With the modern wide style boards, stable and light sails, and the flat shallow water conditions of Pelican Point you will learn in no time. We do a 6 hour Start Windsurfing course for $150, that includes full tuition and all equipment. This course covers all the essentials to get you going - a graduate from last weekends course had his Starboard Go board up and planing on wednesday!!!
Call the shop on 93861830 or come down the river for a look around and a chat
Hey thunder74, I am not connected to an of the shops/ schools so am not biased towards them. I really recommend getting lessons. This is a fantastic sport and you are far more likely to succeed and therefore continue if you get lessons. Good sailing ( beware though: it is addictive)![]()
