Ok guys and girls as mentioned at the AGM and on our WWA website we will no longer try to be a secret service, and we will try to keep you all informed of what we will be doing this year , new committee new start.
We are starting to put together an event calendar so any ideas let us know, be mindful that we are volunteers and we do work other jobs so we cant go and hold extremley complicated events , more fun events that every one can attend and be able to sail in, well thats the idea anyway.

(1) hit up the TV stations for more coverage on the weekend sports on the news.... they will run a story if they don't have to go too far out of their way.... perhaps have somebody video from the judging boat at a wave comp and email a couple short clips to the TV stations ..... we all whine about no coverage would be good to see somebody put their hand up to film
(2) more winter phone in comps like the Crazy Waves comp that SOS used to run they were great
the odd formula event early in the season would be good i got all this big gear i dont use... I have a RS6 in the garage i havent gotten wet... let alone all the deboichet fins etc..
Swap meets are a nice idea. When I lived in the UK they were often used to offload stolen gear.
Just need to be careful.
Dont flog the formula gear just yet chad as a few of us still have it and formula events are just one the things we are looking at.Cheers Paul.
Yes winter wave phone ins are also a good idea and also something else we are looking at , we have a web site that enables us to sms any event anytime , its not to expensive to run but its not free so that is one thing that we are looking into that when you join WWA all sms and all events and insurance will be included in the price , when we are ready to run with it ,i will let you know and if you would like to have you number included on it then you can let us know, we already have 80 names.
