Hi All I have discovered that I have too much gear for the ute and need a trailer does anyone have a second hand windsurfing trailer they no longer use or can recommend a manufacturer who specialise in windsurfing trailers and any suggested layout options.

I got myself a windsurfing trailer a couple of years back. It's mainly for road trips after I realised piggybacking 3 boards on the roof and loading 3 kids, plus all my sails, booms ,masts etc. into the van wasn't a good idea

I bought an 8 x 5 galv box trailer from Papas and designed a custom made aluminium canopy to fit on top. I got the trailer canopy fabbed at ACS in Midland (www.acsfabrication.com.au/). They did a fantastic job, key lockable doors front and rear, gas struts on the tailgate etc.

It wasn't cheap, but I'm rapt with the result. It has four interior racks and I can fit four boards plus all the rig components.

For trips away I even stow the kids bikes and other luggage in there.

Don't you need air vents so the kids can breathe ???

As mark said you can knock one up out of just about anything, here is my old plywood contraption which sat in a standard 6 by 4 trailer. It did me well and covered a lot of miles.
I initially got a ute to fit my gear in but picked the wrong ute so built a trailer, now i have the right ute and have added a few pics of my new ute back canopy which is under construction at the moment but not likely to hit the roads until December thanks to work
