Windsurfing Foil board (Tuttle box) versus conventional Free ride board with power box

Is there that much of a difference between the two. Will an adaptor plate for the NP Glide foil on a conventional be enough for the freeride board to minimise damage?
Open to suggestion?

not quite the same kind of box talked about, but its the same story as in the thread above. If it was me, i wouldn't trust a power box for foiling. It's only a matter of time before things go wrong.

the adapter with a flange plate will help a little, but not enough. If you decide to foil with a power box, i'd keep a close eye on the box area after each session for signs of failure. And pray it doesn't fail suddenly.

Most of the crowd foiling on a conventional board seem to be using the NP adapter with no complaints...I suppose it depends on the board brand. Only interim while learning.
