Hi guys,

I am a Danish girl who has just arrived in Perth 4 days ago and I just can't wait to go windsurfing (freestyle and wave)
The forecast looks really good for the next couple of days so I would just like to know where to go windsurfing tomorrow? Would be nice if there were a couple of windsurfers besides me...

I plan to do some freestyle tomorrow (maybe Safety Bay or Melville) and then waves wednesday....but I am open for suggestions!

Aloha,
Stephanie.

Hey Hardie!

Fakers?! Well, I don't really know how to prove myself...you'll just have to trust me when I say that I am sincere and that I am totally hooked on windsurfing and hope to improve a lot here in WA for the next 7 month.

Of course my level is pretty low as compared to you guys down here...Right now I am mostly practising duck jibes and plan to start training the front loop in the waves (if I don't get too scared... ....).

The reason why I ask for some spot advise tomorrow is that I have never surfed outside Denmark (Klitmoller and Hanstholm) so it would be kind of nice to get som insight information about the spots in Perth...

ha typical scandonavian, my level is low!!!! trying duck jybes and loops.......

northerlys are a rare direction for perth, so don't expect too much advice, we hardly get any sailable northerlys. try pinaroo, mullaoo, cott, port beach?,south beach,

west isn't a great direction - onshore everywhere - try crazy waves south beach, freeo or pinnaroo....or woodmans point (kitesville)

Last time I went for a NW I got skunked, it went straight from N to W. But if it does stay NW for a while, you could have some small wave fun at the North side of Pt Perron thinks it's called Crystals these days. It's a few hundred metres west of the Garden Island causeway.

Steph,

If you can sail Klitmoller you can confidently sail anywhere in Perth (or within 300km of Perth) in any wind strength
message me, I'm in Perth on the weekend for about a week

Soooo much fun this morning. Wish I'd rigged a 5.0 mind. Nice friendly waves at duchies.

Thank you so much for the spot advice! I am really looking forward to windsurfing here in the Perth area!

I surfed for a couple of hours in Melville tuesday, the first hour was really good with 5.0 and 86L but then the wind just dropped completely. Wedneysday I unfortunately just missed all the fun, when I got to the beach the wind had dropped...but good to hear that some of you had fun wedneysday morning!
