Hypothetically, if some mad palooka were to want to do a dawn sail tomorrow, launching from Dalkeith, are there any reasonable launch spots near there?

bishops has a bit of a steep climb up to the car park... I'd just drive the extra couple of km to Peli Point.

Had a look at Dalkeith from the kayak on a calm day. Some rocks to avoid in close. Best bet would be rig up and carry down separately as the path is a bit narrow and tight.
