Wind looking ideal although tide low. Will not be epic as it can be but should be as good as last weekend.

If you want some wind and reasonably flat water see you at the junction of Harding Road and Frenchman bay road.

Thanks for the info Steve!
Unfortunately I have hubby's birthday celebrations otherwise it would be really tempting. Not much wind up here this weekend.

OK here's a shot I took in March, the speed run at low tide from Lilacs Cottages

Had to wait an hour or so before it was sailable here, but further South it was deeper and sailable no worries. But this is where I got my PBs once the tide had come up a bit.

Here's my tracks, from then.

OK you can see Harding road, where we launched at morning low tide, further North you can also see Lilac cottages where we stayed, and launched in the arvo

The tide is going to be lower for most of the day than the great day we had last year per Mike's tracks.
Now that Perth and Mandurah are showing an easterly in the morning if I were up there I would sail that rather than do the drive unless you wanted a change, a chance at a distance run ( although there will be a gybe every kilometre) etc.,
Also I suggest checking accommodation before trying the drive. It is the Albany show weekend and there are many extras here.
It will be great to see anybody who comes down but if you have one journey in you per 6 months this is not the day.
p.s. weed fins are a must.
Saturday pm looking quite good however I think there is a delay before the tide shown on Willy weather gets into the harbour. This means the flattest water will have weed 10cm under the surface. As it is very heavy weed (not thin filaments) fins do tend be dragging and slowed so the flat water is not where top speeds are found.

OK so I was right that it was not a 40 knot day but it was still very good! See here for a bit more detail
