On the coming weekend (22nd & 23rd) the NSWWA will hold its Teams' Event, and what is going to be the most important AGM of the last decade.

It has been a season since the implementation of the NSWWA's controversial new format. Competitors now have had the chance to experience the all-day expression session format and state titles event, and now will have the chance to have a say about the direction the NSWWA takes for the future.
Another hotly contested topic will be the location of events, with the introduction of a Ballina event providing incredible conditions for the 2013/14 season; will we see Ballina keep its spot on the 2014/15 series? - It's your call.
So if you really have an opinion about the sports future, come to the AGM, have your say, vote, and maybe even take up a position on the committee.

It's worth noting that there is also a great forecast of NE winds and decent swell, so it should be a very fun event in the water aswell for those who aren't too concerned about the AGM.
Bring your SUP too, as we will be getting in the water somehow, irrespective of the conditions.

There will be a great social atmosphere and this event is perfect for those who have been thinking about joining the NSWWA, but haven't quite felt ready to yet.

Hope to see everyone there this weekend!

Unfortunately due to work I won't be able to get down there, but I reckon you stick with the new format. With a little work on the judging as previously discussed with George I think the format is great for getting everyone with a good amount of sailing time, and sharing the stoke of seeing mates going for it all out on the water together.

This format is more likely to have people really pushing the limits, being on the water at the same time as the best NSW has to offer as inspiration, and no fear of screwing a short heat by trying to bust a big move.

Two thumbs up from me.

Some interesting points there.

Worth noting that if we get enough numbers we could have an 'interstate' team.

Mid winter bash at birubi will be discussed.
