I have been dreaming of doing a world tour to the best wave sailing spots... can anyone suggest the best places they have experienced to make up the ultimate list of places.

Dahab and Tenerife sound pretty good for consistent winds

[edit] guess I should pay more attention to which forum the post is in not too many waves in Dahab I suspect

add to the list in no particular order:

- Morocco
- Ireland
- Northern Denmark
- South Africa
- Madagascar
- New Zealand
- Southern California
- Oregon Coast
- Chile
- Southern Portugal
- Equador (although there isn't much wind there)
- ANYWHERE with a bunch of good mates!

sounds sweet.... not seen footage of wave sailing in a couple of those locations; however sounds like a variety of conditions... freezing cold to equatorial heat - would need to pack a dry suit and boardies in the same suitcase.. :-)

ps all board caddys are welcome.. note: a 5% premium applies to all caddys to cover the tour organiser's costs and beers.

There are no waves and wind in Gero, especially over xmas/new year.
So there is no need for outsiders to visit during this period.

Not sure if I would want to travel half the world to sail that - doesn't look any better than our local winter waves 4 minutes from home - maybe a bit more consistent wind wise.

Certainly isn't worlds best but with some regular days like this during winter on the local reef breaks it sure is good fun
