What would be the equivalent of that board in today's terms As in if i get to like the feel of it and break it what would be the best thing to replace it with?
I think you will need to go custom unless their black box turns out to be something similar?
Let's hope so..
Mark stone's quad fish might be worth considering if you kill the beloved starboard.
If I recall correctly, the 96 litre Starboard fish i measured once had the following dimensions: 245 x 59.5 with a 44.5cm tail. In today's terms, that's a really long board with a super wide tail and quite narrow overall width (when you take into consideration the length at 245cm).
I've been searching for ages for a modern variant similar to starboard's fish and ended up getting Keith from Quatro to build me something fishy recently. As a comparison, it is 225cm x 63.5cm with a 42cms square squash tail and has 94 litres of foam in it and can be used as a quad or thruster. To test the range I purposely tried it out from super light wind logo high Hookipa to 4.6 maxed out sprecs, and although not ideal, shows how much range the larger multi fin wave boards have now.
