The Taranaki Wave Classic is back this year (after a 2 years break due to Covid) from 20-23 October 2023. New Zealands oldest windsurfing event, well known for its awesome expression session format (no heats or elimination, just sail 'til you drop), the epic waveriding spots (just wait until you turn around and see "The mountain"!) and last but not least the legendary parties at the local Boardriders Club (or was that the wrong order?). You don't need to be a pro to have fun, it's all about participating, having fun on the water and making new friends. Everyone who comes off the water with a smile is a winner.
The 2023 TWC will also be included as a 1-star event on International Windsurf Tour calendar! No excuse not to come! It's only a short flight from the East Coast, possibly easier to get there than to Perth ;-)
