Not putting a mocka on the forecast but I was just wondering for those in the know (Kato, sailquick etc) what the chance of potential tide/wind conditions could be at the PiT this Friday-Sat?
Hi Eddy, the wind on Friday at the PIt will be perfect in the afternoon, but unfortunately the tides are all wrong for speed sailing - low tide at about 9.15 am by my reckoning ( add 1 hr and 45 mins to Port Phillip Heads tide times as per BoM tides Vic) and high tide at about 4.15pm. The incoming tide isn't too god for speed sailing due to the usual presence or the "whoop de dos" on the latter part of the run.
For good wind forecasts check Windguru, sandy point - Dr Google will find it for you. Worth bookmarking.
Might be worth sailing at Swan Bay instead?
