Reading between the lines of the Port Phillip Bay forecast:
------------
Sunday 11 August
Strong wind warning for Sunday for Port Phillip
Winds
North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots in the morning and reaching up to 25 knots in the evening then becoming northerly 20 to 30 knots at night.
------------

There'll be an occasional gust around 15 knots and nothing else during daylight hours. That forecast is telling me to do something else 'cos there ain't no windsurfing gonna happen.

Went for a walk in Sunday and see a few guy out at bono. Looked light but quite sailable with a big enough rig. Looked very up and down.

Saw some green sails and the el presidente on his signature blue severne. Also someone rocked up with a large Ezzy's rig and was flying.

5-6 sailors in all. So what was the verdict from the water?

I sailed at Green Point from about 10.30 am on 6.2 and 112 L until things got untidy and then had an hour on the 5.0 on 96L then back to the big gear. Not a bad day really.
