can anyone recommend any good flat water spots around Philip island ,Cowes , New Haven ect

I want to try off French island one day but don't fancy the boat ride on a windsurf-appropriate day
Inverloch is a half hour from Cowes and would be the best spot for flat water nearby.
cheers guys the family are staying in town so ill just hang close. i might try san remo or new haven? or worst case ill that the wave gear and just go to wollies
Drive to the end of Cottosloe Ave, Woolamai back beach. Only works in easterly weather I think.
