hi guys,
I plan to spend WE at sandy pt this WE
Forecasts look great for Sun in the bay (SE).
My girlfriend wants to practice on flat water; does the inlet works with SE ? and does it work at low tide as well?
Cheers
It does but not as well as a true easterly. The water is very flat when the tide is low enough to expose the easterly bank. You can sail up the inlet a little more if it's SE but watch for shallow areas when you first venture out and as the tide drops. If the forecast holds, the wind could be 30+ so practicing will be fun! ![]()
I'm driving down saturday night and sleeping in the campsite. Anyone around for beers on saturday or a big fry up on sunday morning..?
Darren ? have you made a call yet? I'll pack the landboard if you have.
just looked at the swell and winds for sp,,,,
it's looking good,,, already honking at the prom,, and theres a small wave at sandy
sunday - rising swell to 4m at lakes Ent
with strong x - xoff winds .........yay.... hopefully some of that swell does the wrap around....
by the time i've pissed around trying to find somewhere to sail on the penisula i would have already done the drive to sp...and at least you get more chance of a sail ...
i'm there.![]()
just hope it aint tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo windy.
reckon you'll sail at the shop or over the dune?
if the swell is small there i'll be heading to Woolamai.
