thinking about a day trip to sandy???
se to sw for the flats????
also for a wave sail in warratah bay, what sort of direction /swell do u need to kick up a decent wave, but not too punishing on the shorey close out to get out??????
Welcome to Vic Windy! The speed run at Sandy Point is best in a SW wind, but still ok in WSW or SSW. Maybe see you there some time. Thanks for bringing wind over!
Windy,
heres some sailing pics of Sandy Pt out front of the General Store / SLC in a ~Easterley it is much the same in a NW but swell usually bigger. Waratah Bay gives a few options to sail from NW to W due to curvature of bay, gradual inclined sand botom no rocks/reef. SW/s check out the inlet.

pics look great spotty
tell the boys back home son when the cold fronts hit vic they blow half the state away . vic is the windsurf state son
Saturday looks like a light N/NW - which is a not usually a "good" direction for sailing on the inlet, and completely the wrong direction for the front beach.
Sunday looks a bit like Saturday, but should swing W/SW later in the day; you can sail the W/SW on the front beach, but it will be somewhat onshore.
See www.windguru.cz/ and www.tide-forecast.com/locations/WaratahBay-Australia/forecasts/latest/six_day
You might get a better sail in on Monday/Tuesday... Or Rye is looking the goods again this Saturday.
