Have always used this guy, he also repairs harness'es etc. I have always been happy with his work and prices.
Never had those issues with Ian Thomson, he has always been good. I once had the main strap on an old harness repaired, he only charged me $12. Give him a call, you will be happy.
was that you on Carve 111?
Hooper Sails in Sandringham-ish.
He did a good job on mine, cheap and quick, but your on the other side of the bay arent you.
Don't make the mistake I did...took a sail to a local upholsterer. He patched it with what looked like a strip off a truck side-curtain!
Stitched straight through mono too!![]()
Didn't charge me (I think he knew it was a crappy job & out of his expertise), but it prob added to the cost when I had to get it fixed properly...
yeah Steve that was me on the carve 111.
Ended up going to Irwin sails (Hooper was on holidays), turnaround was 2 days, he did a really nice job - even the stitching was straight (unlike the other sail repairer I had used before). He seems to know his stuff plus is a active skiff sailor with a kick ass international 14. I would go back there again.
