A good Samaritan handed me a mast base today while I was packing up at Rye so I thought I better do the same. 
We were there late so nobody else around. If it's yours message me the details and we can arrange return.
I was at Shq tonight buying a new mast base the guy in the shop asked the reason I wanted a new base I told him l think I left it at rye last weekend. I can confirm the car park at rye were it should have been I can be contacted Mob. 0403 377 769

Somebody on seabreeze has already contacted me to claim and was able to name exact base type and I have arranged to return to them so sorry about that.
They were in first and also had matching pic. Also, the person who handed it in to us said they found it down the beach, not at or near the car park. If you tell me exactly what base type you had I can possibly let you know if it was definitely not yours? 
Might need to head down there with a metal detector by the sound of it, maybe there are loads.

Can you send me a link to a picture from say the manufacturer web page? i.e specific photo of this mast base. Also can you let me know exactly where you were parked? The other guy is pretty cool about it and prepared to check if it could also be yours.

You have both lost the same base I have found 
The other guy has kindly agreed to let you have the base as it is the same but he has a spare and is not 100% sure. I can't be sure exactly whose it is as the person who handed it to us said they found it down the beach and we were parked a bit further away than where you were parked. They walked from that direction so it is definitely possible. Anyway, I will arrange privately with you to return. If you don't think it is yours when you actually get it you can let me know and I will contact the other guy, as most likely it is his otherwise.
