hey guys, just sort've starting out. I can get in the harness lines, planning etc using a waist harness but i can never get far enough back to the foot straps, when i do the tail sinks a bit too much and board rounds up, (even while hanging down on the boom) the board feels right when my feet are about a foot or so forward of the straps. would a seat harness help with longer lines? mast step back all the way? better technique?
Board is an old 165L ON raceboard (bit better condition than that though)
More speed ! Turn off the wind a bit more, open the sail up , pull back, step back , you should now be better positioned to slip your front, then back foot into the straps. Try first with the the straps as far inboard as you can fix them , and only one rear strap in the center line . Scary at first, then comes understanding and progress. Good luck ,never give up ! Mobi

Cribb will save you lots of time.
Ditch the board the straps are set so far back thats just a feature of the ON/165 try another board in strong wind good luck
