I found an old plastic board in the hard rubbish. The mast track had gone so I adapted a Chinook Strongbox to fit in the recess. 16by5mm fasteners, some expoxy sticks and the modern bases are in. So far so good.
The Chinook base with it's two bolts might be the easiest way out.
Is it worthwhile to try to keep a slider sliding? I did, but after using it for a full season freeriding a 380 cm board and ordinary cambered sails I now don't bother with it.
Don't remind me of blind toggles

When the track seemed a bit loose I put 6 of them through the PVC skin to help retain it. The PVC skin was very thin and was then damaged as the whole track came out, broken and rusted fasteners and all.
Today completed an heroic repair- horizontal stainless steel plates fore and aft, melted into the middle of the foam to attach the mast track to.
