G'day
Just moved to Geelong from Perth and Im finding it hard to figure out where to go sailing as the wind and weather conditions here are so different to those I know in Perth. Im a confident intermediate sailor with experience in bump n jump aswell as the waves.
Any advice on where to sail along the coast and what winds to watch out for would be greatly appreciated.
Craig
Torquay point danger is great from sw to ne.
There is a good spot at:
39 Beach Road
Werribee South VIC 3030
Australia
I wish there was a sailing spot on the western side of the bay, i've all but given up windsurfing due to poor places to sail.
real shame i live on a huge bay thats only usable on one side!!!!

I had a look on Google Maps and it looks pretty decent around Werribee South....
What about Point Cook, Altona & Swan Bay? What's wrong with those spots? Looks good to me compared to what I sail in....
Hey Craig,
Dave from Core here ... Firstly welcome to Geelong you will love the options for Watersports here although we could do with a bit more of the WA windsurf conditions sometimes but we get by ...
drop into Core for a coffee and I'll take you through all the best windsurf locations for the various wind directions ...
We are at 9 Fernleigh St Newtown.
