If your going to Mentone, the spot is located between Naples Rd and Kitchener St, there is a car park and grassy area to rig up.
There's no way Huey, the wind God, will allow you to plan a sail four days in advance!!
kawindsurf, your thread has already been forwarded to Huey by his many minions and he has by now already decreed that there shalt be no wind on Saturday. However, since he's a twisted b@stard, he'll keep the BOM forecast up until the 5am Saturday update.
I'm not affiliated to it but lets make it all nice and tidy and in one place
How a ya Ginger, i new you would turn up on this post. Did ya get out there today for a sail dude?????
K-dog dude, please dont remind us all of the mr. altona shark
by posting his pics.
you will scare the women. we all know that jaws was in the bay, but we all never met him
he has gone now he was just here for holidays![]()
Lol - I know I know ![]()

I believe he is a she, and she is called Bessie the vegetarian happy shark who eats only seaweed ![]()
Funny story - was swimming at Brighton Baths last night with my girl friend around 8 PM and she flipped out cause she saw a stingray swimming in there. I swam straight over it and it didn't seem fazed - Her concern was not it killing her, but how it would feel touching it - lol. Funny girl ![]()
Lol - that's what she said.
They are nice creatures though and shy (mostly)... this cute fella was the size of a dinner plate and well behaved. Now I think about it, gotta get a camera!
There's a monster bull ray that hangs around Rye Pier - approx 2.8 metres long. Seen him several times when scuba diving. Totally harmless as long as you don't do anything stupid.
Yeah, I can name one too... but as far as I'm aware, he's the only one ever.
Mentone! It was good fun, even though the wind was a little light on. Good enough for me. Just look out for the SLC police girl - she is protecting all the invisible swimmers. (I was kind and polite and moved on.... just get a little shirty with "The emperor has no clothes "laws""... when did common sense die?
Mentone surfing lifesaving club woman.... absolutely no one in the water.... and compared to what I saw at Elwood yesterday, with windsurfers going around all the swimmers.... her comments seem as distant as pluto...(okay its a moon now)...
It's cool though... I didn't get all fired up... was polite and appreciated her kind assistance of pointing out the no windsurfer sign that "used to be there"..
...so not bringing ill repute to law abiding windsurfers ![]()
