New here to forum & Australia been reading along a fair while.
Moved here from the Netherlands and got myself some windsurfing gear again. Usually I'm around St kilda / Elwood, but on weekends I'm at Point Lonsdale.
And on days like today I am trying to figure out where to gol... All tips are welcome, from flat water to surf.
I heard Swan Bay can be fun & flat but no idea where to launch from.
Heard about Raafs beach, Torquay, 13th.. Think Raafs could work but nobody out and for first time be nice if there are other people around :)
What would work today, bayside somewhere maybe? Have all my gear here, think it's a SW (that's what the Lonnie lighthouse told me this morning). Just trying to figure out where works best when...
thanks!!!
Thanks Nazsail. Had a drive around and pretty much figured out where to go everywhere from Posso's, Raaff, torquay.
Also found the swan bay spot, but seems to need a LOT of wind. Didn't seem enough wind (5.3m), when Lonnie Lighthouse gave 28kts (31gusts). Expected more people windsurfing/kitting everywhere, but seems like I will have to venture out alone :)
Also, what is the rule when there are surfers out? I surf myself and would hate to see windsurfers/kiters flying past while surfing, extremely dangerous. Pt impossibles looked great in morning, enough wind and nice surf. but about 4 surfers out...
Hello, I mainly surf in anglesea which is about 15 min further down the great ocean road from Torquay. will be down for Easter so let me know if yuo are in the area.
ps also from the netherlands
groetjes, mvb

hey Guys,
Didn't expect any replies anymore :)
Thanks Core + Mvb.
Looks like I just scored a place in Anglesea permanently from next week onwards, so based in anglesea more permanent. Very keen to explore spots around there too. Think ocean Grove, Posso's, Torquay are better or not? Anyone ever windsurf Guvvo's, roadknight, urqharts or just not as good?
Will take you up on that coffee offer (core boardsports), may drop by this weekend. Are you open sat + sun?
