Big northerly on Thursday night.
Might be tempted to go either:
Princess Pier
Elwood Car Park
DFO Moorabin
Who's up this week?
Come on Purple Haze!
Why do you need big winds? Can't you make a landboard using kmart skateboard trucks, bunnings wheels and a drill?
I borrowed one a while ago off H2O. Easily capable of getting going with a 3.7m in an eight knot breeze on concrete
Not really chasing big winds, just some wind.... seems skunked with no wind until Thursday.....
I got a cheap sh1++y skateboard off ebay that does the job okay.... couldn't be bother (at the moment) to make one up. Still have to deck the van out first....
Stuart, Stephen, should come along... try your new freestyle board out.
Wednesday night could be possible..... says around 7 knots on Guru.....
I would be tempted to come down, but not to Port Melbourne. It would be past 9PM by the time I get back to the city.
Next time you are down at DFO will come give it a go.
Keep it social and make it DFO I recon.
Thursday night.... circa 8.00-8.30....
Purple, still good for you?
no problem Im a bit shagged anyway. BUT... if you have to work late, take tomorrow morning off! I am.
Friday 29 JuneWindsNortherly 20 to 30 knots becoming northwesterly 15 to 20 knots later in the evening.
Seas1 to 2 metres.
Hello all, great to see other wind skaters. I have been sailing one or many for 30 years now.
Find a long beach lots of sunscreen harness and off you go. 30km in one direction up and back. 60 km an hour is my max. See you out on the pavement in Melbourne anyway
No broken bones. Have fun
