I had a great sail at Bonbeach today with some of the crew. The first hour was very light, but we had 6 dolphins swimming around. I had up to 3 dolphins at one time swimming in front and right under my course racing board for most of the time. This was one of my most memorable moments windsurfing ever.
Green Point came through late and ended up having a really nice sail on the Cheeky Monkey and a Koyote 7.4. Very pleasant!!!
A good size whale swam under my board while sailing last Thursday at Wooly so must be that time of the year when all the fish come back.
Also broke a mast in 2 foot surf in the same session but still happy to get a wave.
Like you Sailhack my hart was pumping. Were you in the bay or ocean
I could see him coming down the beach about 200m away, behind the break. At first I though it was a giant dolphin with side affects from the desal plant. He dove , I caught a wave. When I came back out he was heading across my path. I slowed down and our paths crossed. He dove, a bit of a relief for me, just as we met and all I could see were bubles and a bluish/white colour swiming down. Didnt seem him surface again.
If the ranger is reading this he/she swam under my board, I didnt sail over the top of him.![]()
okish sail at green point.. wind was supposedly rising all day so I figured it might come through before sunset but no such luck
Mr Ginger, you went home too early, I had a really nice pretty powered up sail on a 7.4 once it came in.
No wild life at Green Point but I did have a chat with Glen Robbins who was going for a swim.
Nice one Kel, a long way from Fountain Gate!!!!
had a great sail if only a few runs at green point on a 6.4 and got some nice jumps in. of course the wind filled in just as myself and the ginger pom packed up but was still better than nothing.
roll on summer and lots of new kit.
