Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?
Myself if yesterday is a guide I would stick more south of the city. It was great bump and jump conditions, with a bit more south direction. It was not a seabreeze wind, but the wind strength was affected by the coming and going of the clouds. If the sky is more clear like it is now maybe the city might bring a bit more. Will have to wait an see and use today as another guide.

Looks like a bit of wind at St Kilda now (3pm) - a few lonely green arrows from the south. Anyone heading to the bay to try and catch a late arvo sail?
Stepped outside the office and nearly got blown over!
Winds up!
There is a lone windsurfer out at Elwood on the webcam.
I am seriously p1ssed off... why is it that the wind is around when I am sick with some dodgy virus from some dodgy character(s) at work...... RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA.......
I wish you all a good sail - I'm cranky and jealous.
this weekend?
friggin nowhere.
Anyone want a brand new DOA $3,500 JP funster garden ornament?
sorry, rant over.
enjoy your sail wherever you go.![]()
picked up like that personally from the shop.
Only found out when I wanted to give it a wash to get some of the shop scuff marks off it.
it is going to be replaced, but it's slowly starting to annoy me after 2 weeks...
I was starting pretty much again.
New board, complete 6m rig, wetsuit and boots. $3.4xx k done.
1980's pastel blue wetsuit didn't fit like i remember it used to..
Had a good blast for a few hours at Elwood with the 5.7m on the freestlye board. Was a bit of a seabreeze. May be the same tomorrow.
Had a superb blast at Dendy St for a couple of hours - from about 5 -7pm. Initially rigged my new 5.8 Koncept but a bit small so went for the 6.6 Koncept with my 104L JP slalom and it was perfect! Sunny, warm, and no-one else out there! I normally don't like to sail alone in case of breakage (me or gear) but there were hundreds of clubbies out practicing a hundred metres or so downwind - I'm sure they'd have rescued me.
I love Dendy St - grass for rigging, free parking, shower and toilets, even a drinking fountain, and a nice mix of flat water and rollers. And very scenic with all of those little beach huts catching the late afternoon sun.
Another session at Elwood with Jman etc today. A bit lighter than yestrday, but good to practice for the Break Water Beacon race
Great sail chasing Mat and Rupert up and down St Kilda beach. Can hardly believe my luck - two good sessions two days running!
ahh how good was the breeze on the surf coast this arvo!!
session was EPIC!! fun and fully loaded on a 6.7, handled all the gusts got max acceleration and was FLYING. i nailed some nice gybes and tacks too.
I came out feeling that ive raised my personal bar a level. stoked![]()
saw a few guy's out at dendy st which made me very happy.
i've been watching the kites thinking "well maybe it's time to try that again"
you guy's put me straight back in track and only 3 weeks until my gear arrives ![]()
