Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?
WV, Parkdale Yacht Club and SHQ Windsurfing Beginner Clinic #2 at Parkdale Yacht Club Sunday from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
Myself:
Saturday – If I'm lucky a Northerly sail Bonno in the morning, then family duties then pick up the SHQ kit for Sunday at PYC.
Sunday – I am helping hosting and teaching the WV, Parkdale Yacht Club and SHQ Windsurfing Beginner Clinic #2 at Parkdale Yacht Club. Afterwards I hope to sail maybe at Parkdale or Elwood for some Slalom runs if I'm lucky.
With regards to the informal clinics on the bay, keep an eye on this post and future 'Where are you Windsurfing this Weekend' posts.

Planning on heading down to Rye at dawn on saturday and get an early sail in. Have to be in Kew at 12 for a Christening ![]()
Bon Beach sat morning can't wait. not sailed my freestyle wave since moving from UK five months ago!!!!
Just had a look at tides and low is 0.26m at 9:16 tomorrow morning. How deep will the water be between the sandbars at Rye? Do they come out at low tide?
I don't think they come out (often) but you certainly have to be carefull. It's normally deep enough to run along between the sandbars but some sections, mostly right in front of the parking lot, is quite shallow.
Disappointing day at Rye. I only got there by 11am due to work in the morning. Supposably it was howling before then. It just died. I guess it is still too warm to expect a north wind to hold at Rye.
Well on my first teacher holidays for this career, so fingers crossed for some good wind in the next two weeks.
Green Point was the place to be...from 9.30am until you could hold on no longer.
Best day this year IMHO.
Held on to a 6.4 at Bon until about 12 then 5.0 just mental gusts. Great day just wish I had the guts to go for a forward loop.
5.0 on the 96L at Bonno from mid morning until early afternoon. A bit light on the inside with the nne but still a good day.
Green Point was the best I have sailed it in a long time. No big holes, pretty consistant from 10.00 to 1.00 when I was knackered. Still cranked all day in the backyard at Sandy so I reckon it was just as good until late.
Got some whoppers at Sunset on the incomming tide,,,,,over the top of the mast, fin out of the water unreal day![]()
Should have sailed either Green Point or Rye on Saturday, sounds like they were the place to be. Instead, sailed at bonno, 5.5m and 94 fsw. Not too bad but had to go a good distance out to find the best wind. Sunday a very quick 1/2 hour sail at Ricketts until the wind died.
