Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?
Myself:
Friday Night – Hosting the Windsurfing Victoria AGM at the Sandy hotel, Sandringham
Saturday – If I don't party to hard Friday night and can get up early enough then a early trip to Rye. Otherwise I will be sailing locally at Bonno or Greens Point.
Sunday – I will have negotiate with the wife a double windsurfing stint, maybe a morning session at Bonno could be on the cards, before family duties.

Sunday- longboard explore Blue Rock Dam near Moe.
Bad shortboard memory of rotating around and around near the dam wall until my Akubra joined the fish.
Need some blue green algae to neutralise the Hazelwood rash
Remembering too, that fresh water is better than salt in your board ![]()
The forecast looks really good 20 odd from the north, let me know if anyone is going to give swan bay a go as if I can get a leave pass from the boss on the first day of kids school holidays I would head down to geeelong and brave the chill. I have never sailed on swan bay and think it's about time
Alternatively if I can get the time learmonth will be ok but it will really be cold now it's not like the ocean when the days get short in winter the lake water really gets cold
Needless to say if you end up in the nude you need to allow for shrinkage
Jack ,
there will be a few of us at Swan Bay tomorrow. I've only got a leave pass for the morning but im sure a few will be around for the rest of the day..
I dont ever sail there, but for those that do, saw this on the Parks Victoria facebook page today:
"Great news! The Lysterfield Lake is no longer feeling blue green. Lysterfield Lake is now open after a temporary closure to clear a blue green algae outbreak. Come down and enjoy swimming and non-powered boating activities."
If a bit west in the northerly, Bonno for me, otherwise Green Point again. Was good after lunch today actually.
Speed people are on a good thing.
Not much chance that bored kids will want to take up invitation to an outing on Tuesday.
"How about a picnic?
Sandwiches will be just that! But the driving rain will wash the sand out your eyes .
Very healthy temperatures (bacteria wil freeze into immobility).!
Gusts of double the windspeed will help you get back to the car, which will rock gently as you cower inside. "
