Might be a chance of a sea breeze Thur-Sat. Damn La Nina is causing a repeat of last summer's crap conditions.

Not exactly ive had two days in a row sailing for about 4 hours each day. The large high coming for this weekend will cause a drop in wind but maybe more length until Thursday. Then we may get a east wind before the hot spell.

With the windsurfing gear available now we can sail in all most any wind.

Last couple of days have been pretty good and friday will be good down at waratah bay if you are keen for a drive.
Last night was quite good at elwood, water is slowly clearing up too

Without wanting to sound like a fascist, if I can't get planing on a 5.8m on a 109l board then it is not windy at all..... though it is a little more difficult now that I am a post-xmas 88kg rather than a pre xmas 83kg...

so... I'm going to Waratah on Friday. (Fat Tom - are you coming? Or are you feigning work this week?)

I notice a lot of guys seem to complain about the lack of wind and there biggest sail is a 5 something.
I used to sail alot in the south of the bay so always needed the bigger rigs to get a decent sail.
A 6.5 is still good for bay bump&jump and might be all you need to make the most of the lighter breezes we get at the moment.
Im about 80 kg and was well powered at elwood last night on a 6.2 freeride sail on a 100L board.
Might see you on friday, I will probably sail at the Gap because the waves will be smaller than the shop

This is going to sound terrible but I'd rather it was twenty knots or nothing. Sixteen knots is just annoying flirting by the weather gods...

Everyday this week is '15 to 20 knots' on the bom. It's like describing a walk to the shops as 'somewhere between five minutes and two hours', a mail order bride as 'younger than sixty' or when a plumber says 'I'll be round between eight am and six pm'.

I just had another sail with my 6.1 freestyle kit for over 2 hours at a southern beach and it was great. Maybe not choppy enough for jumping but still ok for swell riding.

Waratah bay @ the Gap looking very good for Friday with the ENE forecast! Should be a good consistent 18 knots + all day.
