Who's up for it? Im thinking wednesday could be the go solid swell and hopefully some wind.
Im thinking maybe sandy point or is there anywhere else that could be more reliable?
I might be up for it, but was thinking 13th Beach. Don't want to do the Sandy Point drive as I have a meeting in Geelong in the evening (unless I can get out of it).
I could be up for 13th. I havent sailed there before what is it like if theres a bit much north in it? Shame the ferry is so expensive
I am tempted, so is for wednesday? is it forecast for weekday to be the day that less likely to rain?
Wednesday will be the go for right point, need the wind to swing southwest. few showers forcast cant worry about that.
Phillip island sounds good, not nearly as far. but the forecast is for west to northwest will that work?
Check the bom central coastal waters forcast most accurate for this area. west in the morning ment to go southwest in the afternoon. could come in thursday but hopfuly wednesday
Zac,
Which beach are you going to do then?
Sandy Point
13th
Phillip Island
or Gunna?
I am considering sailing tomorrow, but will not do Sandy Point due to my meeting in Geelong.
Im not sure yet i think it will be too big for gunna. Sounds like sandy point will be the best but its a fair way to go to sail alone. I might decide in the morning, I'd probably be up for 13th but morning traffic to get there doesnt sound that good. Phillip Island sounds good if the wind swings.
I will ring you in the morning / or you call me and we can make a plan. If it is awesome at Sandy Point I might do it and just suffer the next day for driving 8 hours. Still trying to get out of this meeting in Geelong otherwise I would be so up for Warratah Bay.
I may also do sandy point would be good to sail with others as well
have my freestyle board with me so should get a sail either way.
Wish I could go to sandy point havent been yet.But I have got to work tomorow but will be at rye first light for a sail before work got to be in the city at 10 nick
Fortunately I can check out some of our work sites at Torquay and Barwon Heads tomorrow, so def heading down that way. At this stage early morning at 13th.
did you sail out of the inlet son to the surf? must of been a ghosty sail kid
you could of picked me up on the way you naughty boy
should of rang me son
ya cant have the pit to your self ZACD it's a too good of a place. if kato found out that you were there with out his permission he would of hit the roof![]()
hey zac if you want to work on aerials practise going late so there is a decent lip to project you. aim for the lip get the underside of the board up and turn your body back down the wave so you land out in front.
haha classic as Le,
Thanks al, Next time you guys are heading down give me a yell I think I need to watch closely how its done. I think im going to early, just need to get more good conditions to practice.
Tom I actually reckon it was almost worth the 8 hour drive.
Flipper i told you I was going down there yesterday? So where were you?
Looked at about 2pm (I think not 100% sure though). I think it was the thought of rain that stopped me and I should have just gone over earlier. I am hoping it will be windy enough for Sunday @ Sandy P!
Hey guys - at Robe Easter comp this year (won by one of your local boys) a few crew discussed a "state of Origin" Vic / SA wave expression session comp / social sail concept somewhere between Adelaide and Melbourne in the next 12 months - any tips on who to email from the Vic wave sailing - can't find a contact on the Wave sailing web page and I contact details I had don't seem to be getting through.
If you can PM me it would be good Cheers
