Greetings,
Is there anywhere in the Geelong and Surfcoast area that is half decent in an easterly? I am yet to find a reasonable spot for either wave sailing or bay bump and jump...
Any reasonable suggestions will be tested tommorrow...
Cheers.
I've always liked the thought of Pt Richard's on an Easterly through to a Westerly.
Might try it tomorrow arvo!

I remember sailing it a few times years ago when I was still so obsessed with windsurfing that we would sail in winter... brrrr.. not any more..

Cheers for that,
Yep - I will do a coastal recon from St. Leonards to Pt Richards - and try to catch some of that easterly today... Had a fun (bumpy) sail at St. Leonards in an easterly last year, but Pt Richards looks like great option.
Had a great sail in fun 2ft onshore at St Leonards; classic bump and jump...
Great grassy spot to rig up near St Leonards Yacht Club.
Recommended in an easterly
I ended up going from Point Richard's from 6pm to 8pm.
When I arrived I thought there would not be enough, but it came up just as I hit the water.![]()

I was on a 5.3 and JP 84L FSW
Wind was cross shore with some nice ramps to jump on the way out.
Had a blast, but kept my eye on the rain storm that came down the bay from Melbourne and tucked around Queenscliff, looked like a large tornado.
It was a bit off-putting sailing with such dark skies and dark water.
I think that will be my new spot for Easterlies, especially if we keep getting them.--
Did you get hit by the rain Charger?
Where did the rest of you guys end up?
