Parks Victoria News
It's been a bit quite from PV since last summer with regards to the progress on the Water Sports Zones, that WV has been working towards with PV and KBV. The shared water sports zones will replace what was the proposed Kiting zones, which windsurfers are meant to have the same rights as Kite Boarding does. Once the zones have been released, details on these zones and how they will be used will be issued.
The latest news is all good, with progress on the current boating zones from Mt Martha to Sorrento (Inc. Rosebud and Rye). Within this are there are three proposed shared water sports zones at Rye, Rosebud and Mount Martha. At this stage these zones are near completion, with most of the buoys and piles installed with a few removals and adjustments still to do. PV expect to have them completed by next Spring/Summer sailing season.
PV have indicated they are likely to commence a reasonable percentage of the remainder zones (PV funds permitting) along the east of Port Phillip Bay shoreline in the new financial year.

I'll be at the AGM again this year...
I wonder if I'll be noted as 'non member' in the AGM meeting minutes again ![]()
It might take awhile for Parks Vic to get back to you as their employees are currently involved in industrial action and part of that action involves no working with community groups. It's been 2.5 yrs of no action from the gov and their pay offer is 2.5% over 3 yrs. Wait untill fire season [}:)]
