Hi guys,

Just wondering what the conditions are like around Torquay around this time of year and into April?

Likelihood of a good wave sail in the space of a week from the Easter weekend?

Cheers

I hear it is a good time of year for a Surf comp.

Indeed it is. That's why I'm coming down. Taking my 9 year old son to watch it.
Had only planned to take surfboards to surf with him (when not watching the comp), but could throw gear in if it was looking worth it.
Apart from being obviously aware that it's Polakow's old stomping ground, I haven't been there myself so don't really know any of the spots.

Keep an eye on the wind leading up to Easter, but typically the swell is good around that time of year. Point Danger is a lot of fun if the conditions are right and family can enjoy kicking back on the hill as spectators or wandering down the street if they are not in the water.

Thanks Sailhack.
What sort of wind direction is the norm around there?
