Stern Chaser #1
Hosted by Elwood Sailing Club, The ZU Boardsports and Windsurfing Victoria on 15th February 2013.
How does a Stern Chaser work?
Stern Chaser is an exciting drag race style event. We send the wave and freestyle sailors out towards a gybe mark where one of the safety boats is located. Shortly after we send the freeride and then the slalom sailors out to chase them down. This allows for all sailors to be able to come back to the finish line at beach at the same time. Each race is only one lap and we try and have as many races as possible. So lot's of fun without the need to have specific gear.
An event you cannot miss !
Please note; If there is light winds we will have WindSUP races and low wind freestyle, with some spare SUPs supplied by The ZU and ESC.
Where?
Elwood beach in front of the Elwood Sailing Club.
Who Can Race?
Any current AWA member (e.g. Windsurfing Victoria member)
When?
Stern Chaser
Registration 3:00pm
Briefing 3:30pm
Racing ~4:00pm
Drinks at the club bar 6:00pm

Make sure you come down for this fun event suitable for all levels.
$10 entree fee that will also get you two free drinks in the bar afterwards !
The ZU will also bring some demo gear.
