Just a warning to everybody, I found a couple of syringes on west beach yesterday. They were in amongst the seaweed and rubbish at the tide line. Watch your feet .

Needs to be reported to port Phillip council. It's their responsibility to make sure it is cleaned up.

Always place in an empty PET bottle like a coke bottle and screw on the lid place in bin do not rely on somebody else to find and dispose take responsibility all

I stood on one at Ricketts South about 5 or 6 years ago, was not a fun experience. Fortunately the chance of contracting HIV from a discarded needle is pretty slim unless it has been very recently discarded. HepC higher risk.
I reported to Bayside Council, hopefully they take more care checking nowadays.

Happens some what regularly when there is a major flushing of the drains.... the city/council should really be filtering and treating the run-off.... ie: the "dont tihs where you eat" thing.
