Red Bull Storm Chase will be running in Tassie this weekend !
Marrawah is one of the most hectic places for swell and wind. Located in the roaring 40's this place is a swell and wind magnet ! It's going to be awesome to see some of the top sailors in the World challenge each other in these insane conditions.
The Zu will have some crew on the ground in Tassie to keep us up to date with the latest developments !
Check this video from local Red Bull organiser and Zu team rider John Pott, shot by Julian Watson from last season giving you an idea of the conditions the competitors are facing.www.soletransmission.com/portfolio-items/red-bull-storm-chase-tasmania/

It's on!
First location is Temma, Tassie's own Jaws. The action should be spectacular, briefing at 8.30!http://www.redbullstormchase.com/mission-2
Day two of the Red Bull Storm Chase in Tassie.
After a wild night with massive winds that brought down trees and powerlines (power was off this morning), the competition is back on at Back of light house. We should see even better action today as yesterday was mainly survival sailing with 30ft waves.
Check the live website or our facebook page for updates.https://www.facebook.com/The.Zu.Boardsports;

In 2006 Johnny Pott arrived in Marrawah, loved it so much decided to live there. Wasn't long before he discovered Back of Lighthouse (BOL) which was a world class reef on our doorstop that we never even knew was there.
Eight years later his passion and love for BOL all came together and he pulled off one of the most epic wave events the world has ever seen.
Well that's all that needs to be said.........let the Red Bull website http://www.redbullstormchase.com/mission-2#top and the pics say the rest.
