Hello,

My name is Matev¾ and I coming from Slovenia (Europe). The main reason of my decision to move in Australia is because I#8217;m very big fan of windsurfing.

My question is where is the best location to live in Melbourne if I would like to go windsurfing after my work?
A like to drive freestyle so I looking for freestyle spot.

Thank you for your answers and I hope to come a soon as possible #61514;.

I have no idea how many spots are in Melbourne for freestyle and I would like to stay close to any freestyle spot because I don#8217;t like to drive a log time to spots.

Thank you for your answers

Brighton - great freestyle on your doorstep - and close to train stations to take you to work. See you when you get here.

Would agree with Brighton - something for everyone and most wind directions and towards the city where the stronger sea breeze blows. Check out Windsurfing Victoria website for more info wv.org.au/ join up and get the newsletters and access to facebook group etc where you'll be able to get up to speed on what is going on and where to go. Elwood is also a good bet with possibility to store gear at the club there (subject to availability). If you love flicky spinny stuff on flat water then inverloch, Sandy Point etc will be must dos and well worth the drive for great flat water and often stronger wind.

Hi,

My plan is to move in Australia and I#8217;m looking for place where is good freestyle spot and is no matter where (Sydney or Melbourne). The budget will be adjusted to job and flat so at first I have to find good spot.

p.s. What you think about freestyle spots in Sydney

Thx

The plan is that I came to Melbourne with my girlfriend and until I find a job I will probably take a cheep flat but most important is that the surf spot is near. I have plane to stay a couple of years#8230; so I can move late.

Maybe I can use opportunity that I ask you how difficult is to find a job in Melbourne if I am not from Australia.

depends on the work you do. there is no such thing as a cheap flat next to the beach. $300pw for a studio. Define what you mean by far close to the beach.

Idea is that the first I find a job (IT sector) and if I have to drive a couple of minutes with car to the windsurf spot is not such a problem, because now I living in Slovenia and a have to drive couple of hours to the firs spot. So, probably I will have to find some chip flat than I will move.

For me is the important think that the spot is freestyle spot#8230;. Other thinks will come after time#8230;

thx
