I was curious how many different windsurfing crews/clubs there were in Melbourne/Vic. I have only crossed pathes with the IWC but I am sure that there are more.
Is anyone able to list some of them out, what they do (speed, wave.....etc.) and provide details on how to contact them and or get involved.
Hey Jez,
The best I could do was this link from the WV site
www.wv.org.au/index.php?option=com_weblinks&catid=23&Itemid=52
There's also 3 speed sailing teams which compete in the gps team challange- www.gpsteamchallenege.com.au

The Pit Crew- Sandy Point
Connewarre Cremasters- Geelong/ West Coast
The Southerly Busters- South/ Inverloch
cheers,
mick
Is that recent? Should I be wearing a black arm band sailing on Saturday?
I am wearing a small one for my mate Gary, who sadly had a very short life..... (too soon?).
Only 1 of the Bono crew has gone to lycra, but wait to cup weekend and he will be back. We do not have a web site, but we are part of other clubs. WV, IWC, ECW, etc. The Bono crew tend to sail at many locations and call Bono home. Its where we get our guts from.
Hey Steve
Learnt to windsurf one handed yet. We can slide a hook up the plaster cast to enable you to hang onto the boom and put a plastic bag over the lot to make it water proof.![]()
Are there any bayside crews/clubs that sail Dendy, Rickets, Hampton, Mentone, Elwood, StKilda etc...?
Don't forget the Pookipa fan club (Dawson st and Cole st), just up wind from the Chardonay set at ESC
.
Who is going where this weekend? Anyone interested in going to St Kilda on Sunday morning when the wind is good? My usual crew are MIA this weekend ![]()
No complaints from me Jez! Best to have a good break, buy lots of chocolate, dresses, flowers and all manner of woman bribes to appease!
Doug and the Bono crew,
I might be back on the water by Aug. Went to the specalist today. Its a fracture and I'm now in a plastic brace. I will know in 2 weeks if its healing quickly enough to see if I can get some of the winter sailing time.
